  2. Migration, optimization and validation

    We copy everything to our Montreal infrastructure, tune the configuration (PHP, cache, SSL) and give you a temporary address to verify everything before cutover.

  3. Assisted DNS cutover and follow-up

    At the time agreed with you, we switch DNS. In most cases your visitors notice nothing. We watch the site closely in the following days and stay reachable.

Frequently asked questions about migration.

How much does migration cost?

Nothing. Migration is included with all our hosting plans, for any reasonably sized site. If your case is truly unusual (complex multisite, dozens of large mailboxes), we tell you beforehand — never after.

How long does it take?

Most migrations are completed in 2 to 5 business days, including your validations. Simple cases go faster; active stores need more coordination. You receive a schedule as soon as the analysis is done.

Will my site be offline during migration?

Your current site keeps running at your host while we prepare the copy with us. In most cases the DNS cutover is imperceptible. If a short freeze window is needed — typically for a store — we plan it with you outside peak hours.

What about my email?

We recreate your mailboxes with us and migrate their contents when your current provider allows it. The MX cutover is coordinated so no messages are lost.

Do I need to notify my current host?

Not until everything is migrated and validated with us. We tell you the right moment to cancel, so you are never left without a safety net.
